Jean luyens (belgium) watercolor
"Jean LUYENS"
"Member of the Association of Belgian Naval Painters"
Born in Ostend in 1932, Jean Luyens grew up in a family composed mainly of sailors. After studying in England, he continued his artistic training at the Saint Luc Institute in Ghent.
His professional life as an advertising designer leads him very naturally towards the artistic direction in advertising agencies. Illustrator, he has since been asked by the graphics industry, which does not prevent him from evolving with happiness in pure artistic expression through various exhibitions in Brussels, Ostend or England.
Member of the famous association of Belgian Painters of the Sea today dissolved, it brings since 97 to the Association of the Painters of Belgian Navy a work in all finesse which deserves largely the admiration of his new confreres. His very "British" watercolors beautifully transpose the sumptuous yachts of yesteryear.
