Death of madame lyvia salgo widow of the hungarian painter tibor dengyel
We regret to announce the death of Madame Lyvia Salgo, wife of the Hungarian painter Tibor Dengyel, which occurred on April 28 in her 95th year.
Madame Dengyel was born in Budapest on October 31, 1920 into a bourgeois family. His father, Monsieur Salgo, ran a haute couture business, with a branch in Brussels.
Lyvia Salgo lived in Budapest during the Second World War. She experienced American bombing, the fighting in Budapest and the arrival of Soviet troops.
In 1948, after many adventures, Lyvia Salgo and her mother managed to flee west to finally arrive in Brussels.
